How to Change Your Mindset – Today

A Mindset is What is Realized:

Have you ever slowed down to observe your thoughts, and noticed how they are associated with what you are feeling? If you do not have good feelings, you may want to feel differently, but something seems to be missing from your ability to actually change anything. You will notice your thoughts become more and more focused on what doesn’t feel right, is lacking, or missing in your life. Is there some way to think and feel differently? Let’s explore more about what you are manifesting, and learn how to change your mindset.

What is Manifesting?

Manifesting is best described, and understood simply as, when your inward private thoughts, beliefs, dreams, or desires, become visible to everyone, including yourself, by having taken on the eventual actuality of some physical form.

These are the circumstances in your life, the people, places, and things that seem to be controlling how you are feeling, and what you are thinking about.

The truth is, reality is just the opposite, and begins with our mindset, or state of being. Everything we see going on in our physical surroundings, and think is our reality, is just a reflection of what is going on within ourselves.

As you begin to change your mindset, you will manifest whatever you truly desire.

Exploring The Neville Goddard Solution

Neville Goddard taught about the law of consciousness, and how it operated, “THE world, and all within it, is man’s conditioned consciousness objectified. Consciousness is the cause as well as the substance of the entire world.” (Goddard, 1944: 1)

By this bold declaration, we can assume that what I mentioned previously, about mindset being the true reality, must be true.

In this reality Neville described, there are two parts. There is the conscious and subconscious, and in order to be empowered for manifesting what we desire, it will be necessary to understand how they interact.

This is where you will have a better understanding about how to change your mindset.

Conscious and Subconscious Thoughts

The conscious is like the person who dines out and after looking at the menu, starts forming ideas about what they will order to eat. The conscious is very personal and selective, coming up with ideas, beliefs, judgments, affirmations, and then impresses them upon the subconscious.

The subconscious is like the waitperson at any restaurant. They take your order, give it to the chef, and then bring it to your table. Unlike a waitperson, the subconscious is impersonal and non-selective. (Well sometimes waitpersons may seem impersonal)

After the conscious has delivered all the different types of impressions upon the subconscious; the subconscious simply receives them and gives form and expression to them. Just like the waitperson bringing what you ordered, without partiality or judgment.

Which is why Neville Goddard stated that “By this law – first conceiving an idea and then impressing the idea conceived on the subconscious – all things evolve out of consciousness; and without this sequence, there is not anything made that is made. (Goddard, 1944: 1)

So now we know that the subconscious is not the originator of ideas, but only accepts as true whatever the conscious mind has impressed upon it, and then the subconscious manifests those truths.

The greatest truth, and freedom comes from learning that we have control of the subconscious, and what ends up being expressed into our physical reality, by controlling any ideas and feelings.

Especially our feelings!

Feelings are the key component of how ideas will be impressed upon the subconscious by the conscious, and then eventually manifested into form  .. better known as our physical reality.

Pay close attention to these quoted words from Neville Goddard. (Goddard, 1944: 1)

“Ideas are impressed on the subconscious through the medium of feeling.

No idea can be impressed on the subconscious until it is felt, but once felt – be it good, bad or indifferent – it must be expressed.

Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious.

Therefore, the man who does not control his feeling may easily impress the subconscious with undesirable states. By control of feeling is not meant restraint or suppression of your feeling, but rather the disciplining of self to imagine and entertain only such feeling as contributes to your happiness. Control of your feeling is all important to a full and happy life.”

How To Change Your Mindset

Whether you realize it or not you are manifesting something all the time. We have just learned that we manifest on a subconscious level, where our subconscious gives expression to our thoughts, and beliefs.

Many of us have a subconscious that is more negative than we realize which results in the manifestation of negative things in our lives.

We need to practice conscious and informed choices to exude positive thoughts and develop inspiration by feeling these thoughts and beliefs, so our subconscious brings into our physical reality all we truly desire in our lives.

Conscious manifestation is a powerful awareness, which then eliminates the feeling that life just happens to us regardless of what we do. We grow to understand that we are more in control than we think and that if we can gain control over our conscious feelings, thoughts and actions, we can have what we desire out of life.

We start to realize that everything in life is happening for us, not to us.

What is Intention?

The essential component of conscious manifestation is intention, determined by how we choose to feel, think and act.

This means taking time to first assess any negative thoughts, behaviors, and patterns. The next part of intention then requires you to replace those negatives with positive counterparts.

Do not allow yourself the luxury of entertaining undesirable feelings, to dwell on imperfect circumstances inside or outside yourself, or think about what is missing or lacking in your life .. Because whatever felt is then impressed upon the subconscious with these limitations and must therefore be expressed into form… or as we know it… this physical reality.

Remain present with the feeling of your desired mindset by counteracting any contrary feelings with a more powerful feeling that is aligned with your desired mindset.

As an example, I am wealthy is a stronger feeling than I will be wealthy. To feel I will be is to admit that I am not. I am is not only more powerful than I am not, but the key to feeling however you desire. Notice here that I have not said you should think a thought, but feel a feeling.  Start to observe all that you say or think in relation to the words “I Am” or “I Will”

Think of experiences, and those feelings you had, and how they can be associated with your desired mindset.  Apply those good feelings, and attach them with your present desires.

Whatever you feel you are will always be more powerful than what you feel you would like to be; therefore, for your desires to be fully realized, the desire must be felt as a state that is, rather than a state that is not.

This is how to change your mindset.

How Does Intention Work?

Conscious manifestation requires an intentional decision to shift thoughts and patterns of thinking. This means you must first decide that you are ready to do the work required to uproot negativity and embrace positivity.

First, you would uproot any negative thoughts, behaviors, and patterns. Such things can include negative self-talk, destructive behavior, or surrounding yourself with discouraging people. Then you would replace those negatives with positive counterparts.

Using the previously mentioned example, this would mean introducing positive self-talk via affirmations or meditation, establishing healthy behaviors, and surrounding yourself with positive people.  Envisioning and feeling your desires within your imagination is the key to manifesting your desired state of being.

Implementing intention allows you to move from a state of just being hopeful, to a state of certainty. Your energy and thoughts become more focused and you are able to have your desired outcome.

How to Effectively Use Intention to Produce Conscious Manifestation

Once you intentionally decide to uproot the thoughts, behaviors and patterns that are proving to be a detriment to achieving your goals and dreams, you naturally move into a space of conscious manifestation. Once those things have been removed you replace them with positive thoughts, behaviors, and patterns and those conscious thoughts then inform everything else in your life.

With a more positive thought process and behavior pattern you can establish a clear vision for your future, establish clear goals, and develop the internal motivation and inspiration needed to drive yourself forward in life.

Now that you have a better understanding of how to change your mindset, and If you are truly ready to make your dreams come true, move beyond wishing and get intentional about the pursuit of those dreams.

You hold the key to your future, and by unlocking intention and conscious manifestation you can unlock your dreams. The subconscious never fails to express that which has been impressed upon it.
